Press Release: Realms of Possibility Published by Readers Magnet

A huge shout-out to Chloe Lopez and Readers Magnet for posting the article, the Realms of Possibility, about my multi-genre, multi-book Legacy Universe

Who doesn't love speaking about the speculative side of fiction? Or, science, fantasy, and horror? Any writer who writes in these genres understands their complexities and symbolism.

In the Realms of Possibility, I discuss the Saint Trilogy, The Reality Hackers, and the Hode (Robin Hood) Trilogy. These stories maybe geared toward the paranormal aspects and supernatural forces within the framework of scifi, fantasy, and horror, but also check the romance box. What is a story without love?

But do not fret, there are plenty of vampires, werewolves, and witches waiting in the wings of these novels. Mythology in the Legacy Universe is an important foundation to the entire book series.

Immerse yourself in a universe built to engage the reader in the realms of possibility...

Remember to download the free Legacy Universe badges, bookmarks and postcards (on the individual book pages).

Have a great and wonderful day!

Adam Gaffen Interviews...DL Mullan! on The Cassidy Chronicles

The last interview with Undawnted's creative spark, DL Mullan, was such a success that we decided to an encore!

Adam Gaffen of The Cassidy Chronicles spent some time with our artist, novelist, and poet. The published article is: Adam Interviews...DL Mullan!

Ms. Mullan discusses her latest creative writes with Adam. From the scifi, fantasy consciousness novelette, The Reality Hackers to the scifi, paranormal horror story, Mangled, DL Mullan relays to readers how genres can be combined for maximum effectiveness. In addition, she speaks about her foray into competitive short story writing and how these external writing prompts have given rise to stories like The Jonah Collector

The takeaway from the interview is how DL Mullan views creative writing, digital art, poetry, and the imagination:

"Writing is the undiscovered country hidden in the recesses of our own minds. Find yours in one of my publications. You will never think of things in the same way again."

We want to thank Adam Gaffen for the fine interview questions and giving DL Mullan the chance to express her creative consciousness.

Please head on over and read: Adam Interviews...DL Mullan!

Be sure to Like, Subscribe, and Comment, so Adam knows that you appreciate his time and dedication.

Thank you so very much, Adam and The Cassidy Chronicles for the interview!

Hint of the Divine: Archetypes of Wolves and Werewolves

This year, Undawnted will be endeavoring into the in between spaces of mythological archetypes.

A Novelist Idea Newsletter updates Undawnted's readership every month and quarter about our news, publications, events, parties, contests, movie nights, and seasonal reads program.

What our newsletter adds is our commitment to advancing the realm of the imagination. For 2023, we are engaging with this modality by asking the question: how can we use archetypes to stimulate our creative juices and expand our inner innovation?

Carl Jung believed that archetypes are our unconscious made manifest. Joseph Campbell believed that these archetypes transcend culture, as these ideas are the basic components of the human experience. This pattern in human evolution began with stories by the campfire, and morphed into oral histories, traditions, and myths that have shaped our existence today.

Myths help explain the unfathomable. Myths kept our ancestors safe from harm. Myths gave people a sense of congruity.

This month A Novelist Idea Newsletter is discussing the wolf archetype, but more importantly we will delve into the in between spaces as well and play with the formulaic aspects of...

Undawnted has a New Addition to Our Poetry Family: Sonnoquy

Spring is a great time to add to your family. Here at Undawnted, we have added a new spin on a classic structured poetry form. We have named our new bundle of joy: Sonnoquy

What is a sonnoquy?

Sonnoquy is a cross between a Shakespearean sonnet and a soliloquy with ten lines (eight, ten syllable verses, and an ending couplet).

A soliloquy can be the act of talking to oneself, or a poem, discourse, or utterance of a character in a drama that has the form of a monologue or gives the illusion of being a series of unspoken reflections.

A sonnet is a fixed verse form of Italian origin, consisting of 14 lines that are typically 5-foot iambics rhyming according to a prescribed scheme.

Together, a sonnet and soliloquy become a new poetry form in Undawnted's Structured Poetry section

This chapbook has been also added to our Winter Frost Seasonal Reads Program.

Have a great and wonderful day.

Clean Up on Isle... Undawnted

I have been doing some housecleaning on this site today, so watch out for old links!

Blogger used to name pages with numbers, now there has been a change to naming pages after their titles. I worked yesterday and today to re-identify old pages with their actual titles. This revision should allow webcrawlers to index all Undawnted's pages in their correct form.

I hope this action will increase traffic and allow visitors to find the pages they are looking for more readily.

Most pages with inconsistencies were replaced except for the Contact page. The new Contact page is here. The old one remains with a notation that the page has been updated and to please bookmark this new one.

Have a great and wonderful day.

On My Poetry Forum for Review: Full Circle

The creative spirit arises when you are busy doing something else, but arise it did.

Full Circle is a philosophical poem and is available for review.

What meaning do you get out of the prose poem?

This poem is being moved to Undawnted's YouTube Channel.

_____

Full Circle is one of the poems in the Chapbook: Supernatural Archealogy

Supernatural Archaeology is the poetry of philosophy, mythology bordering on the supernatural and paranormal realms.

"The superb imagery complements the thoughts and emotions expressed via your verses here."

"This is really different... the imagery is beautiful and surreal."

"A captivating creation."

Become supernatural.

The Roben Hode Adventure to be Released March 31st

I never thought a book could flow onto the page as quickly as this story did.

Hode: The Legend Lives Again is the origin story for this new book series. Meet his Merry Band of Men, and Will Scarlet:

“We must be true, loyal… Equal partners. Do you pledge to do right by each other and this world?”
“With an honorable leader.” Marian smiled. “A White King to guide us. As Marian James, I pledge. ”
“A Black Knight to keep us safe.” Dale nodded to the verbal contract. “As Dale Allan, I pledge.”
“Grey Magus to see beyond the mundane.” Tuck agreed also. “As Friar Tuck, I pledge.”
Robert looked to the sullen cryptoanarchist. “Well? What say you, Will Scarlet?
“As Will Scarlet…” He flipped Robert off.

Read about this new mythical hero on March 31, 2018 when Hode: The Legend Lives Again is released as a PDF EBook on Lulu via Sonoran Dawn Studio's Fiction Spotlight.

Have a heroic day!

Steampunk, Paranormal Romance, and the Age of Alternative History

Awesome.

That is a load of words to say isn't it? I had been reading up on how to write the genre because I have a half done historical novel waiting for a great plot twist.

My novel is more like a Paranormal Romance slash Historical novel, but I wanted to update it.

Low and behold, Steampunk incorporates the supernatural. I can do that.

It is an exciting way to revive an old story and it has opened my mind to possibilities. So much so that the new concept has broadened my understanding of  Blood Oath, Blood War.

And, that's how creativity works.

One creative epiphany leads to another. So Steampunk can revitalize a historical romance and set in motion more crime-drama in my vampire novel.

That is why I love writing. You wake up with doubt and leave with hope.

Have a great and wonderfully spooky day!
