Cover Art Update for The Rain Long Poem Publication

The monsoon season may be behind us, but never forgotten.

The Rain is a long form poem about the Sonoran Desert's monsoon. Instead of the original raindrops  abstract cover art piece, Undawnted changed to a more identifiable weather related image, cacti and all.

What do you think?

If you have not read this piece yet, what are you waiting for? Poetry makes a great gift.

Have a great and wonderful day!

Narrowing Down the Contents

The contents of the upcoming poetry book: Effloresce are being worked on at this moment!

With a newly revised cover, Effloresce is shaping up to be more than a book themed on nature, but a powerhouse of imagery, philosophy, and observation with some politics thrown in. The environment is not about carbon dioxide, it's about how we respect the natural flow of the Earth's processes.

Until we can get our act together to detoxify our planet, we will have to educate others on the real injustices we face... not the made up ones for the sake of funding and political points.

Effloresce has a wonderful mix of poetry styles and has three sections.

Visit the book's page, Effloresce, to see if your favorite poems will make the cut.

Autumn Brings a Chill

A cooler night and morning are on their way. Autumn is that time of year when the light equal the darkness, sweaters are needed for that evening walk, and the leaves turn beautiful colors across the higher terrains.

The warm sultriness of the monsoon has faded. Insects have begun their transition into the slumber of hibernation. Winter is on her way, but not until autumn has his way.

Eventually, leaves will crinkle and fall. In the end, so will we all. Evening is upon us.  We will watch as the nights grow longer and the stars glisten evermore above.

Autumn brings a chill so light a lantern to guide us on our way.

What do you love about the change of seasons?

Have a great and wonderful day.

The Mother of All Reinvention

In the last few years, Undawnted has grown and matured.

The website now focuses on poetry and writing while art, design, and publishing have been given their own homes online. That freedom has defined and extended my personal universe and Undawnted has reaped the benefits of that Big Bang.

Soon, the poetry and writing that graced this blog and writing portfolios will be published in their own collections. Poetry has already been published in third party anthologies and other websites. So publishing our own chapbooks and novels is a natural progression.

I hope you have enjoyed Undawnted's claim to fame. Stay tuned for more exciting developments. Here imagination is fearless.

Have a great and wonderful day!

Inferno and Fleur Submitted

Two poems were submitted for consideration to an upcoming nature anthology.

Fleur and Inferno have not been published in any other format. I cannot wait to see if these two are accepted into this anthology. Very excited indeed.

I love the feel of anticipation... how about you?

Have a great and wonderful day!

Busy Little Bee

Well I don't know how I am going to top yesterday's blog post: marijuana is a hot topic! Smoking hot topic?

I was busy again... building a new website: Visual Studios Productions. Now you can see the artistic arm of this organization as I plow ahead. Nothing lost here.

Also we have all our book/booklet projects green lighted. That is very exciting. I have to finish up two different books this month. One for a June 20 publication date and one for July 19. (see our Schedule page.)

It is nice to finally get some writing into the public sphere again. I am as eager to open a dialogue on fronts that are taboo and/or button pushers. I believe that if we get passed talking points and religion, we can sit down and make calm, rational decisions about the topics of the day.

So I hope my take on subjects helps move our individual and national conversation forward.

Have a great and wonderful day!

Spring Emerges...

All the times we scoff at the ritual of Groundhog Day, and this year the little bugger was right.

Spring emerged early here in the Sonora Desert. Trees and wild flowers are in bloom. The temperatures have been warm during the afternoons and cool in the early morning hours.  Just perfect.

Birds are singing and nesting. Bugs are zooming around the yards. The desert is alive.

And, so are people's allergies. Mornings are not complete without a series of sneezes. Achoo!

I wish these picturesque moments could last. Cloudless, blue skies, cool gentle breezes, and a warm sun to make everything grow. All the ingredients to inspire a poem or two.

Have a great and wonderful day!

Halloween Festivities

Autumn is here and the first of the holidays besides the equinox is Halloween.

So in celebration of the spooky, Undawnted will be publishing some new and old favorites in compliment to the season.

Who can resist the pull of the unknown, macabre, and dark?

Have a great and spooky day!

Welcome, Again

This date is the official start to Undawnted.

I am a creative thinker: artist, poet, writer. I am set to publish original chapbooks, novels, and the lot. I hope you will join me on my quest to discover how imagination is fearless.

"Undawnted is where imagination is unpredictable, insatiable, and undeniablely ...unleashed."

Let's start this adventure, again ;)

Have a great and wonderful day!

Up 'n at 'em

This morning was really pretty in the Sonoran Desert.

In the summer after staying up all night to avoid the extreme heat, I welcome the sun and all her glory. A few years back Venus and Jupiter were high in the eastern sky from 3am until the sun rose. My traveling companions.

Now the rotations have shifted. Venus comes up later about 5am in the east. Don't fret. Jupiter and Mars are not far behind and when cool October mornings come around, all three will be very, very close together in our sky. I cannot wait!

I have been updating my blogs, publishing some poems. I have been doing the bored to death thing. I get like this during summers. Summer is just not that exciting to me. I know we have the monsoon storms, but those only happen when the geoengineers are being stupid or generous. I cannot figure out which. ;)

I really do hate the toxic chemical laden, ecoterrorism being played out in our skies and no one seems to notice. I notice. I was raised with blue skies. I do not know what those lines are doing up there but to damage our ice caps and ozone lawyer. Yeah, and they say it is us. Nope! It is "them."

So if you can wake up extra early, especially at the end of October, the alignment of those three planets should be spectacular.

I for one cannot wait to fill up my camera's memory with the memory of a life lived.

Have a great and wonderful day!

Writing about Controversy sends Stats Up

I should bitch out foreign governments on my blog more.

It was fun to watch my reaction to being told I was responsible for an EU law make my stats soar to new heights. Did I hit a nerve? Or do more people want to hear the truth?

Art, writing, creativity in general are supposed to reflect humanity back onto itself. So we can see other people's perspectives and walk in their shoes. Tonight, I decided to take a stand against a law that has nothing to do with me.

If someone comes to my blog, that is their choice. If blogger or other third parties have applications or wares that can be used with their sites/blogs, well those are people's freedom of choice to have them or not. I have software to tell me if a site is not safe but I can go if I choose to do so.

Same thing with my blog. If you choose to come here and read, great. Thank you very much for your patronage. If not, well perhaps next time.

But to make a blogger list about cookies, it's bullshit.

My computer, my internet connection... my responsibility if I go here or there. Next webmasters will have to list their underwear sizes and that is just unseemly. Keep it to yourselves, folks.

So that is why I had the reaction I did earlier. It is NOT my responsibility to tell you everything about my blog. It is the surfer's responsibility to make intelligent, educated choices.

I use software to keep me safe. EU, why don't you?

I guess it is time to resurrect Radio Active Dawn. Full of opinions and cuss words about the abysmal governance of unelected/elected politicians.

Have a great and wonderful night!

Physics, Comparative Mythology... A Perfect Combination

Today, I was kind of spunky. I organized my hobby tools, caught up on laundry, and am really trying to get the house looking like the cats have not taken over. hehehe!

Then I wanted to listen to something while I worked. I ended up on youtube listening to David Talbott: Seeking the Third Story | EU2012

Very interesting intersection about physics, plasma, and ancient mythology. I love comparative mythology. I have read Joseph Campbell's A Hero with a Thousand Faces as well as many other books on the subject.

I am always fascinated by the connections we can make to the ordinary and the extraordinary.

You will find out that I like opening my mind to different knowledge, information, and perspectives. Ever since I began my meditative work, my brain has been eager and hungry for all sorts of knowledge. It seems I cannot get enough learning done.

And, you wonder why I am so tired all the time! My brain is exhausted! hahaha!!! I am hoping this influx of new ideas will make me a better writer and lecturer in the future.

I enjoy watching intellectual discourses especially when they are free online. I cannot afford cable because I spend my money on life saving supplements. So free is awesome!

That was my Xmas day.

I hope yours went as well and that Santa was very good to you!

Have a great and wonderful Holiday!!!
