Welcome Sun Gods/Goddesses to Your New Life on the Hero's Journey

Today was the astrotheological day of resurrection.

The day of the Winter Solstice the Earth begins its trek back to Spring. In ancient times, the sun looked like it stalled in the sky for three days. So that is where our mythologies (and religions) get the idea of dying and being resurrected on the third day. The narrative is prevalent in the stories of ole.

For instance, December 21st is the solstice. December 22nd, 23rd, 24th are the sun's immobile days (death). December 25th, the sun moves upward in the sky again and thus the sun (son) is resurrected.

Every winter we go through our own personal hero mythology. This year, we again have been resurrected into our hero journey. We come out the other side and begin a new year. At this time, we make our resolutions, a blueprint, for the coming 365 days.

So take some time and ponder the possibilities. You are on a hero's journey. You died, defeated death, and was resurrected. Your reward is a new year. You are living mythology. You are the hero. You are the god/goddess.

As an enlightened entity, what wisdom do you want to impart on the world? What are your goals? What is important to you?

That is the mindset of a fiction writer creating their next protagonist, threshold to adventure, and positive story.

Have a great and wonderful day.

December 23rd: Today is the Last, Last Day of Your... Death?

You are living mythology and you don't even know you are doing it.

Religions of the past and their current manifestations tell of a man born of a virgin who died and was resurrected.

Mythology is why solstices are a little more exciting than equinoxes. Solstices are like we hit the edge (Earth's wobble) and at the last possible second, we are saved by someone yanking on our shirt collar.

The mythical aspects of this time of year, winter, is special too. Humans are connected to our Earth cycles from biology to religion. We are now in our death cycle. We will be in the winter season for 88 days and then spring will resurrect us.

For the mythology and literary aspects, December 21 of Winter Solstice is our annual death day. As religion mimics the natural cycles, the sun stays nearly unchanged in the sky for the next three days. That means December 22th, 23rd, 24th are our mythological death. We are Persephone.

So on December 25th, the sun in the sky begins to move upward once again. That is how the ancient people knew that the Earth cycle was now on its way back to spring time, thus the resurrection. In a few days, everyone on Earth will be resurrected as was the sun gods of ole.

You are living mythology. You are living your death and will be resurrected. So how does it feel to be a sun god?

Isn't mythology grand?

Now how can you use mythology in your writing (literature)?

Hint: research Dionysus, Persephone, Osiris, Odin, Ganesha, Lemminkainen, Tammuz, Krishna, Quetzalcoatl, Attis...

Then how can you use these gods' qualities in your character(s)? plot?

Have a great and wonderful day.

To Believe or not to Believe, Can a Polarized Writer be Believed?

So what makes up a writer?

I have been asking myself this question for a long time. Is a writer a product of their environment? Or, is the environment a product of the activities of a writer?

It seems creative thinkers ebb and flow with the world around them but always just outside of the mainstream. Reporting, reacting, and responding to the political, social, and economic happenings for good or ill around him or her is the creator's way. Then infusing that vibration in the characters and story lines that are written.

I have come across creative thinkers over the years, and many in recent months, who have stopped being the outside observer and have become apart of the system.  I watch them. I watch how these artists and writers conduct themselves. Their behavior matches the extremes of current events and political talking points. I am aghast.

A creative being is ineffectual when absorbed by the prevailing energies of the time. Either writers have joined the far right camp or the far left. That leaves me smack dab in the middle.

With my formal education and my research activities, I have come to understand the many gears turning our world and how these mechanisms drive our world as a whole. To explain such machinations to the programmed mind is a perilous endeavor as I have discovered.

You cannot say that researched fact, you must believe! Belief is for people who have stopped searching and just want to exist in the vibration of life. That is not me.

I am in search of knowledge and wisdom. That imparts a duality of soul, inspiration of the heart. and path that cannot be walked in one lifetime, but on successive adventures in the energies of the universe. Who are we? Why are we here? Who sent us into this density? Dimension? To fulfill our individual destinies?

Energy is felt yet intangible. It shapes our universe and creates reality. How we use that energy is how we realize our world.

How does a wanderer bring the different aspects of reality together if everyone is so polarized that facts, figures, and sense don't exist as a common denominator?

I ask because reality is adrift. People choose belief over everything else. Religion of gods or emotion is destroying the fabric of the space-time continuum.

Can the imagination of one writer bring a cohesiveness to reality so people will stop tearing themselves and others apart?

I do not know the answer to that and many other questions. I do know that the path of a creator is not to be sucked into the propaganda, but to deflect it and shine a light on the manipulation.

If you are a writer, are you being the observer? Are you showing the hypocrisy of the right and the left?

Or, are you too busy trying to be right in your beliefs that you have forgotten why we are here?

I haven't forgotten my place as the observer. Belief has no sway here. Only knowledge and wisdom.

What do you believe that keeps you from becoming the writer you have always wanted to be?

Manufactured Consent for Inauguration Week

Inauguration of a new President of the United States only happens every four years.

Good thing I wrote a research essay on the historical and political perspectives about elections and voting in Manufactured Consent.

"Voting has become a choice between the greater of two evils. Warring political parties vie for American voters, but is that perception false? Are voters caught in a cycle of picking the same agenda no matter if they go left or right?"

"Discover the history voters were not taught in school and how their rights to govern themselves has turn into the game of Manufactured Consent for those elites willing to do anything for power and greed."

Religion is Like Owning a Haunted House is Available

This essay is a satirical and metaphoric look at religion in our society.

We all have them. The haunted house we inherited from our parents and their parents before them. To some people religion is the haunted house that keeps them from knowing or understanding the spiritual side of life.

In this unique perspective, the author offers an explanation of why humanity owns these haunted houses... with a satirical twist.

Is your religion haunting you?

War on Women is Now a Topic for Discussion

I have been at it again!

With current attitudes and recent commentary about women's rights, health, and safety, I am now working on a research essay called: War on Women. I take a look at the different arguments and angles about women's rights in our society.

The war on women has been a religious and societal attack for over 100 years. Probably closer to 4 to 5 thousand years have women had to submit to patriarchal misinformation and disinformation about what is and is not "feminine."

When feminism brought women's issues to the forefront of cultural discussion, politics hijacked the message. Wouldn't you like to get back to what being a woman is really about?

The Holiday Reminder

It’s the holidays again
and you are feeling blue
There are no presents
There is no tree
There is nothing around for you
The bitterness is not from the cold outside
but from your endless empty heart
Hopelessness has taken hold inside
Instead of sitting there wishing
for objects that do not matter
Be thankful for what you do have
for it is probably more than most
Look around and invite friends over
and raise such a clatter!
Drink with a merry toast to all
You do not have to have what is material
or need to feel discontent
As long as love and good cheer
is in everything you do everyday
So open your heart with happiness
and brighten the holidays with a smile
All you need is there for the taking
It is real and alive and waiting
but only if you believe in the goodwill
of all the inhabitants of the Earth
It’s not about religion
It’s not about money
It is the idea that we are more
than a shell of flesh and blood
we are so below as above
spirits with an abundance of love
so throw off the yoke of taking
and begin to receive what is yours
The holidays are not about things
It’s about if you care more for others
than what can be purchased at the stores.

Brain Entrainment and Reprogramming

I am not religious.

As a spiritual person, l look at all sides but I never conform to dogma. Organized religion is man made. I don't follow the path of men, but of spirit. If you want to call that spirit god or not, I call it the source of all creation.

We can all tap into this powerful, healing, and loving connection to the universe.

I have spent much time learning the different perspectives. I am going to being publishing the research materials I find interesting. From David Icke to David Wilcock, I am sure there will be something for everyone.

I don't say believe in everything you hear, but to hear other author's for their take on the universe. I will post meditations and other information. I am writing a spiritual book along with my fiction.

I'm a busy writer!

So take everything in stride and take a listen. The way to open yourself and your writing is to hear ideas foreign to your own belief system. Don't shy way.

You never know what will trigger a new character or plot line.

And, have fun. I'll keep posting about writing, cats, cooking, and environmental illness too. What would be the fun without them?

Have a great and wonderful day!

Mysteries of the Unknown

Isn't it great when you don't know what happened to one of your blog posts? I guess the universe did not like my dance analogy. Figures.

I'm sure I will rewrite it again someday but as for today, I would like to talk about personal honor.

I found a curtain on ebay I wanted to buy but the bidding time had ended. I messaged the seller. I got a reply that for $5 the curtain was mine. I was so excited. Living on a tight budget and a curtain that would finish my living room window was such good luck!

I responded saying send an invoice my way... then silence. I messaged again and the reply from the seller was an abrupt: the item is no longer for sale. Say, what?

Thank you for reneging on your offer. I did not make an offer to the seller; I happily accepted an offer given to me. To pull an offer without reason sounds fishy. I'm sure she got a better offer and sold the curtain at a higher price, but that is why I am talking of personal honor.

If I had made the same deal, I would have told the next offer: sorry, it's sold. I would not have reneged on my original offer in order to get even ten times more in return. I have some insight into the mysterious of the universe: the unknown consciousness of the fabric of time and space is like Santa. It knows when you have been naughty or nice.

That little place inside that nags at you when you've done something wrong... that's what is going to get you in the end. Even if you have learned to shut that voice out and become hardened to the world, well, the universe still hears it even if you do not.

Good luck, bad luck... how many people have you screwed over? Hmm?

What I am talking about is not religion. I'm talking about your mind, consciousness, soul, and spirit.

If you want to change your life, have better luck, then you have to learn to not only treat others with honor but yourself as well. So pump up the volume. Listen to that little voice inside your heart that speaks to you.

You'll be amazed at what it says and how life can be good again once you open yourself up to the mysteries of the unknown.

Have a great and wonderful day!
