Onomatopoetry: Poetry Potpourri, Undawnted is Expanding Our Selections

Undawnted's menu on the right has added another poetry site: our Youtube Channel. 

In the past, Undawnted used My Poetry Forum, Poem Hunter for their interactive qualities. Now, Undawnted has moved into the video short and feature film realm.

Two poems Silence and Asymptote will be given their own short. Asymptote is a free verse poem about scientific principles of lines and optics. Silence is a structured piece, the form called a Cinquain.

Rate, review the poems. Undawnted enjoys hearing from the audience.

Onomatopoetry Workshop Added to Winter Frost: Haiku and its Variations

Want to learn how to write a Haiku? 

Here is your chance. You can write a traditional version or a variation on the old. It's your choice. 

Most writers know that Haikus are a 5-7-5 syllable stanza of three verses (17 syllables altogether) is the English language equivalent to this Japanese art form.Yet, most do not know there are rules to writing a traditional Haiku poem.

Special Engagements Now Rotates with the Seasons

Just as Undawnted's Seasonal Reads Program changes from season to season, we have added our Special Engagements to this rotation. 

This combination helps with our seasonal theme and mythology. For instance, this winter's seasonal reads program is Winter Frost with our snowman. 

It's that time of year to bring in some cheer! 

Undawnted keeps the cold and dark nights warm with novels and poetry.

The complimentary imagery of a smaller snowman icon highlights the change of season to our newest addition: Special Engagements and keeps it in line with the rest of our site.

This months quarantine special is the theater. Every Thursday a new theater production will be online for viewing by the National Theater in London, England, UK at 2pm EST.

April Flowers Quarantine Special: Theater for Writers Workshops

Thanks to a virtual worldwide quarantine this spring, theaters have closed their doors in response. 

Some theaters have decided to do a show just for the audiences at home via the internet. One such theater group is the National Theater in London, England, UK. They have set up four shows for the month of April. 

As a lover, patron, and former thespian, Undawnted's proprietor, DL Mullan, will be participating in the online events. Sunday, Undawnted will be publishing the April schedule (a week earlier to accommodate the play schedule) for the quarantine special engagements that have been created just for you, her audience. Get your comfy chair piled with pillows and be ready to be dazzled by the world's best theatrical performers. 

Then Undawnted will have coffee and chat sessions set up via her Discord server space for all those who wish to discuss the play and how it pertains to the craft of writing: character development, plot, setting, and dialogue. 

A Special Engagement section will be set up for these writer's workshops.
