Undawnted: The Official Site of DL Mullan: Celebrate 6 Years of Publication

Undawnted is reflecting on the past. As an initiative in imagination, innovation, and community, Team Undawnted is looking back at the start of this journey. Next year, Undawnted will be 10 years old, but a few years later, Autumn Cider kicked off the dream of publication.

Six years ago this month, DL Mullan self-published her first chapbook and, the next month after, released her first novel through her Sonoran Dawn Studios publishing house.

As with all writers, she wished for an agent and publishing contract, but her disabling illness made those future events unattainable. Instead of giving up, she elected to publish herself. 2013 Undawnted began, and in 2016, Sonoran Dawn Studios was born.

She used her past knowledge to create her prose with:

the art of dialogue from a professional Hollywood Scriptwriter.
the art of novel writing from professional Writers in Romance, Science Fiction, and Fantasy.
the art of the Hero’s Journey by Joseph Campbell.

With each of these skills sets mastered, DL Mullan wrote, edited, and polished her first novel. At the same time, she put her poetry collections together. And, here we are today. The Believe in Magic Popup Party: Celebrating 6 Years as Published Novelist and Chapbook Poet!

We are celebrating by re-releasing the two publications that started it all!
