Her father, John, rejoins Advance's Special Access Project overseen by Agent Abigail Isham to find Eliza and rescue her, but he discovers that he is ill-equipped to take on this new foe, who has ensnared his daughter. As he watches, John, with the help of his wife and sons, devise a cunning scheme to reclaim Eliza.
To redeem his daughter, John must set the universe on fire by crossing the streams of paradoxes and absorb the energy produced by the inflection point in order to defeat the master Shadowmancer, but will the power consume him as it did his daughter? He hopes a surge of reality will be enough to waken Eliza from her delusions.
In this epic showdown, John Chisum battles Blaise to restore Eliza's humanity and save every timeline, dimension, and parallel universe from destruction.
Will John's solution to counterbalance a Shadowmancer's spell by crossing the streams of paradoxes be successful? Or, will the energy needed to breakthrough the phantom's illusions destroy John instead?
