Happy Birthday, Amercia!

The United States has a historic year ahead of her! 

Our nation has been in a crucible with others trying to define what America is and who Americans are. It is about time Americans define ourselves to the world. 

This July 4th. America turns 250 year old. To laud this joyous occasion, Undawnted is bringing the celebration to you!   

For the rest of the year, America will be commemorated in song, story, and verse by DL Mullan. Her family's roots date back to July 10, 1623, making 2026 her family's 403rd anniversary on the North American continent. 

Join this legacy American in memorializing this great nation through honor, sacrifice... and imagination! 

Ms. Mullan's contribution to America's birthday celebration will be a series of chapbooks and albums, beginning with United 250th, which salutes the red white and blue!

Harmonious Crickets and Desert Heat

My house is full of cricket song.

I have been hoping for the kitties to eat them all, but I guess the babies are full of other things instead.  In the early morning hours, if I am able to see Orion, I can hear the locusts too. The desert is alive and well. 

Even though it is hot and muggy with a chance of geoengineering, I still love my home.  Still I cannot wait for the autumn storm track to swoop down and cool the desert off.
